Job Description:

The Regional Parts Specialist is responsible for ensuring Parts Department activities at Tesla Collision Centers within their coverage area are working efficiently and as-intended. This includes process implementation and improvement, influence of, and adherence to quality standards, and performance against goals and metrics.

The Regional Parts Specialist will be responsible for performing site visits, collaborating with support teams, and executing special projects for the parts department. This position will require traveling to each collision center nationwide.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with operational support and supply chain teams to identify and address challenges facing our field parts teams
  • Travel is required: Expectation to visit each Collision once per quarter and as needed
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in parts department process for collision and drive adoption of quality standards and best practices
  • Assist locations within coverage are in building and maintaining channel planning lists to optimize service level
  • Assists regional leadership in new location planning, parts department set-up, and readiness
  • Mobilize resources, plan, and execute annual physical inventory in each location within the region
  • Drive improvement of KPI targets through process implementation and rollout of strategic initiatives in partnership with Collision Programs and other HQ teams
  • Coach and train parts team members and assist Collision Managers in sign-off of skills assessments for leveling employees

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working in a body shop with an understanding of the specific challenges of a collision repair facility
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to adapt to change in scope, timeline, or focus without sacrificing execution
  • Able to travel frequently and up to two weeks at a time, as needed, up to 75% of the time, to support other locations
  • Significant proven work experience as a Parts Advisor within a fast-paced automotive organization
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, including ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levels
  • Ability to lead without authority in a team-based environment, set direction, and guide team members to achieve common goals
  • High School diploma or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability; associate’s or bachelor’s degree or certificate preferred
  • Experience coaching and training new team members
