Job Description:
This is an entry level position for an Associate Manufacturing Engineer working in the Aerostructures Engineering group which includes Airframe and Aero Systems. Manufacturing Engineering (ME) responsibilities include tasks from the design phase to the manufacturing/test phase.
During the design phase the candidate’s responsibilities will include generating work instructions and ordering tooling to execute fabrication or procurement of airframe details, assemblies and installations. ME will work with the design engineers during basic and detail design phases to assure design is producible and can be fabricated to meet cost and schedule targets.
During the manufacturing/test phase the candidate will provide technical support to Operations during aircraft assembly and respond to Sikorsky airframe supplier inquiries. ME also participates in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost of poor quality using 6 sigma tools. The ME candidate will perform all of the above in accordance with Sikorsky Engineering Standard Work.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Basic Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) skills
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
- Ability to work in team environment
- Willingness to travel to support aircraft build locations
- Previous Sikorsky intern experience is a plus
