Our distribution centre in Thatcham is seeking a Facility Services Manager to lead a team on site and manage the effective management of 3rd party services to deliver the up-keep and maintenance of our Distribution centre (over 300,000 square feet) and satellite site.
- The Facilities Manager is responsible for the hard and soft facilities within TVDC main building and the Satellite Site, ensuring compliance and achieving service levels in both buildings. The Facilities operation encompasses the TVDC Distribution Centre as well as the Satellite Site and covers the Site Services team and other facility contractors.
- A key focus of your role will be overseeing the hard and soft facilities contracts including cleaning, landscaping, pest control, and maintenance contracts. You will ensure that third party contractors adhere to all Health & Safety practices, to include regular updating of their Risk Assessments and Method Statements for all aspects of their work. You will host regular update meetings with all Third Party Contract Managers to include site inspections and review of contractual obligations.
- Responsible for a team of your own, you will need to provide outstanding leadership setting clear direction and providing regular feedback. Your role will ensure that standards are being reviewed regularly and activities are conducted to ensure the continual development and productivity of all members of the team. This will include documented performance monitoring, effective recruitment, coaching and development, overseeing staffing disciplinary matters where appropriate, and conducting annual/quarterly performance reviews.
