Job Description:

As a Video Production Specialist at CPA Canada, you will manage and edit multimedia products, including live-action and animated videos, as well as other advanced and interactive materials. These videos may also include motion graphics, digital graphics, special effects and other techniques. Further, you will work from and maintain a repository of materials that can be used and reused to serve the needs of the organization. The Specialist will also be responsible for keeping records and reporting on the products developed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining a video bank with content for reuse/repurposing
  • Manage and participate in the entire video production cycle (pre-production, production and postproduction)
  • Identify business objectives, consider overall style and content, propose a budget and manage a schedule
  • Monitor and track video performance leveraging YouTube/Google analytics and other systems as applicable, delivering analysis and insights that will support continuous improvement in video
  • Manage shoot and required personnel during production
  • Edit rough and final cuts including input of music, graphics and effects
  • Research material, execute script and storyboards
  • Operate cameras, audio and lighting, teleprompter and other equipment as required
  • Producing and editing video products (live-action and animated videos for marketing, communications and social media content) in support of
  • CPA Canada strategies
  • Provide recommendations to clients/management for increasing the overall effectiveness of video content based on data/analysis

Job Requirements:

  • Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, on-time deliverable environment
  • Creative artistic design ability and storytelling skills
  • Proven ability to coach and advise executives as well as members of the immediate team, provide candid counsel and strategic advice
  • 5+ years of professional experience in video production
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven ability to engage, connect and build an engaged audience across multiple channels
  • Degree in film studies, cinematography, digital media or other relevant disciplines
  • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the proven ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously
