Job Description:

If you are selected as the Facilities Engineer for the Permian Delaware Central asset. Position is located in Midland TX, with primary assets located in west Texas and southeast New Mexico. Position supports our Loving NM operations with oil and gas production facilities including gas gathering and water gathering/transfer facilities.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Operations and Development teams to identify facility engineering projects and manage opportunity list for budget and LRP purposes.
  • Depending on the scope of the project, work may include preliminary and detailed design, cost estimating, equipment selection and procurement and construction cost control.
  • Providing troubleshooting assistance, consultation and Engineering support to Operations and Maintenance personnel on day-to-day operational problems and process control issues.
  • Working closely with Production Engineers and Operations to optimize and improve production and reduce environmental footprint from existing facilities including equipment upgrades and replacements.
  • Working closely with Operations and the Projects Group to ensure the operability of new projects and that they are completed safely, on time and on budget.
  • Providing technical support for facility risk assessments, the Management of Change (MOC) process, defect elimination and incident investigations.
  • Creating facility and gathering system models and identifying opportunities to optimize pipeline & compressor configurations.
  • Evaluating facility de-bottlenecking, consolidations and other volume enhancement/operating cost reduction opportunities.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee or asylee
  • Current/valid driver’s license
  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodations) to travel 20-25% on a yearly basis
  • Experience with hydrocarbon production operations support and troubleshooting, along with facility design and construction
  • Experience in small and large project management, engineering, design, construction, cost control, start-up and trouble-shooting
  • Experience with artificial lift technologies, ie gas lift, plunger and troubleshooting technics
  • Focus on operations safety and continuous improvement organizational boundaries to achieve goals
  • Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
  • 5+ years of experience as an engineer in the oil and gas industry
  • 5+ years of experience in design, construction and operation of oil and gas facilities in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering
