We are looking for highly motivated individuals with the skills to inspire, challenge and lead others, including senior stakeholders across the Department. People who will develop strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders and use these and their commercial expertise to deliver fantastic outcomes.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining commercial pipelines and plans.
  • Maintaining full records of commercial activity on our eProcurement solution (known as Jaggaer).
  • Promoting commercial best practice and DWP/government commercial policies to stakeholders to maximise compliance.
  • Participating in, and driving improvement in, the in-life management of contracts and suppliers.
  • Contributing to, identifying and delivering commercial cost savings targets.
  • Ensuring robust governance and assurance to meet compliance requirements across the Department, Cabinet Office, GDS and HMT and ensuring adherence to
  • Government Commercial Operating Standards.
  • Leading commercial activity for specific Digital initiatives or product areas across the full commercial lifecycle (pre-market engagement, sourcing, contract, performance and relationship management).
